Editing (Green Screen)

Last lesson we continued with the editing. We placed the green screen scenes on to the time line. It was quite difficult getting the lip sync to fit in with the song, but in the end we managed to do it. We also learnt how to change the green screen background to the specific scene we wanted to put behind the characters who were on the green screen in this case it was a market street scene.

Firstly we collected and arranged the entire green screen clips and placed them in the appropriate places on the timeline just above the clips we wanted to put in the background. Once we had done this we then removed the green areas from all the videos, we had to do this one by one as it would not let us select them all, mainly because each shot was different and different areas of green needed to be removed from the different shots, although this was very time consuming we were focused and managed to get it done. After we had done this it was time to place the clips we wanted in the background and as we had already removed the green it was a simple process of using the chroma key and dragging it onto the green screen shot we wanted. We then did this for all the other green screen clips.
